Summer camp 2020

We have now confirmed this year’s camp will go ahead!

However we do understand that some people will have concerns regarding this current pandemic. If you need to discuss anything regarding your booking please do contact us and we will help where possible. If you would like to cancel your place on camp this year we are happy to transfer your place and deposit to next year’s camp instead.

This year we have decided to have maroon jumpers for camp which are available direct from JS Teamwear.

Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic there will be some changes to summer camp.

The final payment will be required before the 15th July and will be at a reduced rate of £225 minus your deposit already paid.

This year there will be no availability to camp over unless your travel time is over 50 minutes each way. Please contact us direct to discuss this option. The horses will be staying over as normal for the duration of camp.

There will be no evening meal served, breakfast will be a light continental breakfast cereal, yoghurts etc.  Every attendee will need to provide their own cutlery and crockery. However everyone will be required to bring a packed lunch. We will provide cakes for each ride. Donations of cakes would be fantastic!

All meals will be served in sittings to enable social distancing guidelines to be met.

Everyone attending will need to bring their own hand sanitiser to use throughout camp. Facemasks and gloves (riding gloves as fine) must be worn at all times, however masks can be removed once mounted.

Due to the current guidelines groups this year will be smaller but this could change depending on new guidelines.

Current social distancing guidelines of 2 meters must be followed while on the premises.

This year there will be no parents to stay at camp to help the younger members throughout the day but we will have sufficient staff available instead to support them.

Health and safety risk assessment – COVID-19

Additional rules to follow at Trentvalley on top of government guidelines:

Gloves and masks should be worn at all times on the yard

(Masks may be removed by riders when mounted)

Wash hands on arrival and departure
Follow arrows
Follow instructions on signs

Everyone should follow the guidelines on infection control, both whilst at work and in their daily lives. This includes:

Frequently cleaning their hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water when coughing and sneezing, covering mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue, throwing this tissue away immediately and washing their hands

Avoiding close contact with anyone who has fever / new, persistent cough / breathing difficulties

Please see https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ for current guidance

Use the 111 online Coronavirus Service to find out what to do if you have symptoms i.e. new, persistent cough or fever.

Please remember everything is changing on a daily basis, we are really pleased to be able to still offer you all a fun filled week to share with friends. We understand that this year will be different but we still have lots of activities planned to ensure you have fantastic memories from your week. Please remember that all of the above is subject to revision with government guidelines. We are aware that we have to get used to the new normal but at Trentvalley we make ‘normal’ the best it possibly can be.

Looking forward to sharing this new experience with you all.

Thank you

Trent Valley Team
